Your question: "Would they have done so if they had the fear of God instilled in them at a young age?" seems to assume that they don't or have never had the'fear of God' instilled in them. Why you presume this is beyond me. The fear of God doesn't seem to stop millions of other Christians from comitting crimes. Oh, right. They're not true Christians if they commit those crimes. You can't have it both ways. As soon as someone of faith commits a crime, you can't sweep them under the rug. I can immediately think of a few men whove devoted their entire lives to their faith and committed some pretty atrocious crimes. Guess the fear of god had temporarily left them.

The criminals in all likelihood were Christians. Christians have been known to rape and kill millions in their efforts to instill the fear of their god into others. The Christian motto still remains "We are not under the law." is it not? This is the result of such horrid doctrine.

As far as the evolutionary chart is concerned, I tend to follow evidenced-based science. Science takes evidence and draws conclusions based on it. That is how we learn things. Creationists take what they believe is the answer and struggle to find any tidbit of info that supports their belief. You don't start with an answer. You gather info first.

If the title of the article is anything to go by it appears Mr Kocsis is looking to recruit people to his beliefs. People have their beliefs as to what value the bible has as it pertains to them. Please remember that religion is merely another form of entertainment. It has no more human relevance than Harry Potter or Star Trek. I can't think of a rational reason to base a lifestyle around any of them. These kids who committed the rape are @$$holes, plain and simple. I'm glad they got caught and will be punished for it. Atheists' analytical brains are unable to believe and to accept that writings on olds scrolls are the "Word of God". For us they are the "Work of Men". Our brain is incapable of seeing "truth" in the Bible. Is that reason enough for you to switch to attack-mode and to resort to insults? Be more charitable, pity us instead.

I don't believe or disbelieve the bible...I here very many interpretations from various people. I feel one can live a moral and decent life without looking up to a "king of kings".

Ground Countrol, when the word you're familiar with collapses around you (the situations you describe) fear takes over, it's part of our human nature. Very few think rationally a that point.
